Geology

Short characteristics of the site: River valley with oucrops of conglomerate overlying phyllite. Stratigraphically belongs to the Kumburk Formation (Barruelian - Westphalian D). This conglomerate passes into subarkoses. Sedimentologically significant locality.
Regional geologic unit: Bohemian Massif - crystalline complex and pre-Variscian Palaeozoic - Lugicum - Krkonoše-Jizerské hory Mts.crystalline complex, Bohemian Massif - superficial deposits and post-Variscian magmatites - Upper Carboniferous and Permian - Lugic Late Palaeozoicum (including Triassic deposits)
Stratigraphy: paleozoikum - karbon, proterozoikum
